A photographic collection by Seiji Kurata. After working as an art teacher and later in a local factory, he turned his focus toward photography and enrolled at the Workshop School of Photography, where he studied under Shomei Tomatsu, Nobuyoshi Araki, and Daido Moriyama. Published in 1998, Japan brings together photographs taken between the 1970s and the 1990s, offering an unfiltered portrait of the country across two turbulent decades. The large-format volume includes approximately 400 images, presenting Kurata’s vision of Japan. Tokyo: Photo Musée (1998).
