Published in 1997 alongside Wong Kar-wai’s Happy Together, Christopher Doyle’s photobook Buenos Aires (often subtitled Buenos Aires: Reminiscences, 1997) serves as a visual diary of the film’s production in Argentina. Doyle combines photographs of Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu-wai with handwritten notes, film cut-offs and production scribbles.
