Dancer in the Dark is a musical drama directed by Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier. The film stars artist Björk in a striking performance as Selma, a factory worker whose eyesight is slowly deteriorating. As her vision fades, Selma dedicates herself to saving money for a surgical operation, hoping to spare her young son from inheriting the same condition. The soundtrack, Selmasongs, was composed primarily by Björk, with additional contributions from Mark Bell. Several lyrics were co-written by Lars von Trier and the Icelandic poet Sjón. This movie program pamphlet features rare behind-the-scenes photographs, offering an intimate look into the production process.
