In 1994, Art Tower Mito’s Contemporary Art Center presented Jenny Holzer’s first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan. The exhibition marked the debut of several of Holzer’s iconic works in Japanese, including the celebrated LED board installation she first unveiled at the 1990 Venice Biennale. Published on the occasion of the exhibition, In the Forest of the Words offers a survey of Holzer’s career to that point. The volume features her works, from Truisms to the Inflammatory Essays.
